SANDY MEGA STORM OCTOBER SURPRISE IN USA
President Obama declares emergency in seven States.
110 deaths confirmed so far and figure may change. 47 in New York State alone. There are other losses, some incalculable.
With Sandy Mega Storm Landfall, I lost cable contact and internet access at about 08.06 PM Eastern Time. As a consequence, I couldn't be on facebook and twitter.
I have been following the presidential compaign. President Barack Obama is focusing on the Sandy disaster and has not yet resumed campaigning for his re-election.
Meanwhile, Romney irebranded a presidential campaign in Ohio as a "concert to get support for victims," but this is against his misjudgment in June 2012 during his primary election debate - calling for privatization of FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Agency meant to to help individuals and organizations, including local governments and states with disaster planning, prevention and provision of support funding for emergencies.
Romney is an expert in outsourcing - sending business or companies to operate in overseas countries for cheap labor and high profit. The greatest worry about privatization is the possibility of outsourcing FEMA to China. This will be a total mess.
Mayor Bloomberg originally confirmed 18 people dead in New York City. This may not be the final figure. Other statistics include, 787,000 without power in New York City, 23 fires (I saw transforms exploding). The scope of the storm was first of its kind in 108 years, especially for the Metropolitan Transport Authority (MTA). There was extensive flooding of the tunnels (subways). World Trade Centre under construction heavily flooded. Overall, more than 8 million people without power throughout the U.S.
SANDY MEGA STORM has caused enormous disruptions in the U.S. Outsourcing FEMA will even be more much terrifying in case of another disaster. Presidential Candidate Romney needs to redress his own judgment.
October 29, 2012 was a terrifying nigh in New York City.
I will continue to improve this report as more information come in.
